Civil Engineer

Location: London | Hybrid Working
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits
Permanent | Full Time

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of your projects?
I'm working with a growing Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy in London that is looking to add an experienced Civil Engineer to its team.

The business works across a varied portfolio of development projects, and this role offers plenty of autonomy for someone who is confident taking projects through the planning and design process with limited supervision.

The Role

You'll be involved from the early planning stages through to detailed design, with responsibility for delivering your own civil engineering projects.

Your work will include:

  • Independently undertaking drainage design and modelling using InfoDrainage
  • Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
  • Producing civil engineering calculations, designs and drawings
  • Designing below-ground drainage, external works and earthworks
  • Developing levels, earthworks and wider site infrastructure
  • Liaising with clients, project teams, Local Authorities, LLFAs and statutory authorities
  • Managing your own projects, workload and technical deliverables
  • Taking responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of your work

Experience with Civil 3D would be advantageous, particularly for earthworks, levels and cut-and-fill modelling.

About You

We're looking for someone who is technically strong, organised and comfortable working with a high degree of independence.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy
  • Excellent working knowledge of InfoDrainage
  • Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
  • Strong drainage, external works and earthworks experience
  • Experience producing calculations, designs and technical drawings
  • Good understanding of the development planning and design process
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • The ability to take ownership and deliver projects with limited supervision

What's on Offer?

This is more than just another Civil Engineer position. You'll be joining a collaborative and ambitious consultancy that puts real emphasis on its people and their development.
The benefits package includes:

  • Birthday off every year
  • Additional annual leave for long service
  • Flexible working
  • Financial benefits and incentives
  • Enhanced parental support
  • Training and professional development
  • Clear opportunities for career progression
  • Recognition and rewards for career milestones
  • A vibrant London office and collaborative working environment
  • Regular opportunities to get together and experience new places, with company trips and events

The consultancy is continuing to grow and is looking for engineers who want to develop with the business, take ownership of interesting projects and be part of a genuinely collaborative team.

If you're an experienced Civil Engineer with strong drainage and development infrastructure experience, please apply or get in touch.
