We Do Social Work Recruitment is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead the implementation of an innovative SEND reform programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new multidisciplinary model of support, improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND, and make a lasting impact across education services.

The Role

As the Experts at Hand Lead, you will take responsibility for the mobilisation, implementation and early delivery of a new SEND support model. Working collaboratively with senior leaders and multi-agency partners, you will ensure the successful development of a sustainable, high-quality service that strengthens inclusive practice and supports early intervention.

This is a strategic leadership role requiring someone who can translate vision into operational delivery while building strong partnerships across education, health and wider services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Experts at Hand model.
  • Build and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, including education, therapy and specialist professionals.
  • Develop governance, performance monitoring and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive collaborative working across education, health and partner organisations.
  • Support inclusive practice through workforce development and targeted interventions.
  • Monitor service performance, evaluate outcomes and use data to inform continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective use of resources to maximise impact and value.
  • Promote the service across professional networks and stakeholder forums.
About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Significant experience working within SEND, education, health or local authority services.
  • A proven track record of leading service development and delivering organisational change.
  • Strong partnership-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience translating strategic priorities into successful operational delivery.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and influencing abilities.
  • A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
