Extrusion Operative

We're looking for a reliable and safety‑focused Extrusion Operator to join our production team. You'll be responsible for operating extrusion machinery to produce high‑quality blown film, supporting smooth production flow and maintaining excellent standards across the department.

Staffline is recruiting Extrusion Operators in Brigg.

The rate of pay is £13.91 per hour (3% increase from July).

Overtime is paid at time and a half, Sundays and bank holidays at double time.

This is a full-time role working rotating shifts, 4 on 4 off, and the hours of work are:
- Days: 6am to 6pm
- Nights 6pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

As an Extrusion Operator you will be responsible for:

- Operating extrusion machinery to produce blown film to specification
- Delivering film to production areas and returning unused film to stock
- Selecting materials and supplies for each job
- Completing safe, efficient machine set‑ups following warm‑up procedures
- Carrying out process checks and reporting results to Team Leaders
- Monitoring machine controls hourly to ensure quality and safe operation
- Unloading, weighing, palletising and recording finished reels
- Completing production reports accurately in the MII system
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Managing waste skips and ensuring correct disposal
- Transferring film from wooden pallets to plastic pallets
- Reporting maintenance issues to prevent breakdowns
- Providing Team Leader cover when required
- Supporting other departments when needed
