Salary: £110.00 - £130.00 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract type: Temporary and part-time

Premier Education are a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in one of our central Manchester primary schools on an ongoing basis from September 2026. This role is ideal for ECTs who have not secured teaching positions or semi-retired teachers looking to take a step back.

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons for EYFS and KS1 pupils.

  • Lead small group sessions and occasional whole-class teaching where required.

  • Support pupils' learning, progress and classroom engagement.

  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupils' academic and personal development.



Essential requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Hold a minimum Level 4 HLTA qualification or PGCE.

  • Have recent experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting.

  • Be confident delivering small group work and supporting classroom learning.

  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.

  • Hold valid Safeguarding and Prevent training, or be willing to complete our free training prior to placement.
