EYFS Lead / Reception Teacher - ASAP - Hillingdon in London

Salary: Outer London Pay Scale (M1-UPS3, depending on experience) + TLR 2b (£5,192 per annum)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a primary school in Hillingdon seeking an experienced EYFS Lead and Reception Teacher to join the school as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a strong Early Years background who is ready to take on a leadership responsibility alongside their classroom teaching. You will lead provision across EYFS, ensuring children receive a strong start to their education while supporting colleagues to deliver an engaging, well-planned curriculum.

The successful candidate will combine effective classroom practice with curriculum leadership, helping to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across the Early Years setting.

• Lead EYFS provision while teaching a Reception class full-time.

• Oversee curriculum planning and ensure provision supports children's development across all areas of learning.

• Monitor children's progress and use assessment information to identify next steps.

• Support colleagues with planning, assessment and effective Early Years practice.

• Develop engaging continuous provision and purposeful learning opportunities indoors and outdoors.

• Ensure provision meets the needs of children with different starting points and abilities.

• Work with the wider leadership team to evaluate and improve EYFS outcomes.

• Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support children's learning and transition into school.

• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour and classroom organisation.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Strong experience teaching in EYFS, particularly Reception.

• Previous EYFS leadership experience or the ability to demonstrate readiness to take on a lead role.

• A secure understanding of the EYFS statutory framework, curriculum planning and assessment.

• The ability to support and develop colleagues through effective collaboration.

• Strong organisation, communication and leadership skills.

• A commitment to ensuring children develop the foundations they need for a successful transition into Key Stage 1.

• Outer London teacher pay scale, based on experience and relevant pay point.

• TLR 2b allowance of £5,192 per annum in addition to the teacher salary.

• Full-time role with an ASAP start.
