Fabric cutter operator in Middlesex, Greater London

Please only apply if you have previous, hands-on experience working as a Fabric Cutter, Fabric Cutting Machine Operator, or in a very similar fabric-cutting role.

This is not an entry-level position, and candidates without relevant fabric-cutting experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating fabric cutting machinery safely and efficiently
• Accurately cutting different types of fabric according to patterns, measurements and production requirements
• Preparing and laying fabric ready for cutting
• Following cutting specifications and ensuring accuracy
• Checking materials for defects before cutting
• Ensuring cut pieces are correctly organised and prepared for the next stage of production
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
• Following all company health and safety procedures
• Meeting production targets while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fabric Cutter or Fabric Cutting Machine Operator is essential
• Experience operating fabric-cutting machinery
• Good understanding of fabric cutting, patterns and measurements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment
• Good reliability and timekeeping
• Ability to follow instructions and production specifications
• Commitment to health and safety procedures
