Fabric Engineer in Wokingham

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in Wokingham. CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer. The successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties, a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and experience working within a healthcare environment. Working within a team on-site, he or she will need to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance.
Working hours
- Monday - Friday
- 08:00 am - 17:00pm
- On-going contract
- £21 per hour
- Enhanced DBS needed
- Immediate start
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Painting & Decorating
- General fabric repairs
- Furniture moves porterage
- Fixing Furniture
- Hanging Pictures & Shelves
- Maintain and update Log books
- Assist the maintenance team on site e.g PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temp checks, flushing
- Escort sub-contractors
- To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
- Covering 3 sites around Wokingham
Requirements
- Knowledge of commercial building maintenance
- An understanding of most building fabric duties
- Good communication skills
- Health & Safety experience
- Basic PC literacy, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
