Salary: £34,000
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week (Flexible Working Hours)
Weekend Rota: 1–2 Weekends Per Month

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fabric Engineer / Handyman to join a prestigious residential development in the heart of Nine Elms.

You'll be responsible for maintaining the communal areas of two landmark residential towers, including one of London's tallest residential buildings. Working across a high-end estate, you'll ensure the communal spaces remain safe, functional and presented to the highest standard.

This is a standalone role, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently whilst also being part of a supportive on-site team.

The Role

Working across the communal areas of the development, you'll carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance while coordinating with contractors and supporting the wider estate management team.

An M&E contractor is permanently based on site with a team of three engineers, alongside housekeeping and estate operatives, all working together to deliver a first-class service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs.

• Complete general handyman duties across communal areas.

• Basic carpentry repairs including doors, locks, hinges and ironmongery.

• Minor painting and decorating.

• Basic plumbing repairs where required.

• Carry out regular inspections of communal areas.

• Report defects and ensure maintenance records are completed.

• Coordinate and direct specialist contractors around the estate.

• Read and interpret building floor plans to assist contractors and visitors.

• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation.

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working within a premium customer-facing environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Handyman, Maintenance Operative or Multi-Trader.

• Experience within high-end residential, hotels or commercial properties.

• Good all-round building fabric maintenance skills.

• Well-presented, professional and approachable manner.
