We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join a large on-site facilities maintenance team at a prestigious commercial property in Battersea.
 
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established building services provider, working on a high-profile site with a stable Monday to Friday schedule and excellent long-term career prospects.
 
The Role
 
As a Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the building, ensuring all fabric elements are maintained to a high standard. Working alongside a team of engineers and facilities professionals, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean and fully operational environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance.
  • Basic carpentry including door adjustments, locks, hinges and ironmongery.
  • Minor plumbing repairs such as taps, toilets and pipework.
  • Patch plastering, tiling and making good.
  • Basic painting and decorating where required.
  • Ceiling tile replacement and flooring repairs.
  • General building repairs and maintenance.
  • Completing maintenance records and job reports.
  • Working closely with the wider engineering team to ensure service levels are achieved.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Handyperson or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative within commercial buildings or facilities management.
  • Good all-round building maintenance skills.
  • Experience carrying out carpentry, plumbing and general fabric repairs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Salary & Benefits
  • £35,000 - £38,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
