Fabric Maintenance Technician
Salary: Up to £41,200 depending on experience, plus overtime and call-out payments

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Fabric Maintenance Technician to join a professional facilities maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced commercial environment, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs to ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric maintenance across the site
- Complete a range of building fabric tasks including carpentry, painting and decorating, basic plumbing, patch repairs and flooring maintenance
- Support the wider engineering team with maintenance activities when required
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational requirements
- Accurately record completed work using the CAFM system or maintenance job sheets
- Identify defects, recommend repairs and suggest improvements where appropriate
- Contribute to delivering a high standard of facilities maintenance and customer service
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a building services or fabric maintenance role
- Good all-round knowledge of building fabric repairs and planned maintenance
- Experience working within commercial, retail or similar environments is desirable
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexible approach with a willingness to support out-of-hours work and call-outs when required
Desirable
- Relevant qualifications in carpentry, joinery or building maintenance
- Experience working within large, busy or public-facing environments
- Familiarity with CAFM systems
