Fabrication Supervisor in Wakefield

Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a bespoke engineering and fabrication business as they recruit a hands-on Fabrication Supervisor who enjoys being out on the shop floor, leading from the front and keeping work moving.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced fabricator or welder who’s ready to step into supervision, or an established supervisor who still likes to get stuck in.

Key details:

• £39,500
• Monday – Friday, days with an early finish Friday!

Key Responsibilities of the Fabrication Supervisor include:

• Leading the day-to-day workload across the fabrication team, making sure jobs are completed safely, on time and to the right standard
• Working alongside the team on fabrication and welding tasks when needed
• Allocating work, monitoring progress and tackling any issues that could affect delivery
• Reading drawings and checking finished work against specifications
• Supporting, coaching and developing team members
• Keeping a close eye on health and safety, quality and housekeeping
• Working with production and other departments to keep jobs running smoothly

We’re keen to speak with Fabrication Supervisors with the following skills & experience:

• A strong background in fabrication and welding
• Experience leading a team, or the confidence and ability to take that next step
• The ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• A practical approach to solving problems on the shop floor
• Good communication skills and a willingness to lead by example
