Fabricator

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Fabricator to join their established engineering team based in Grantham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication background who enjoys working on a variety of heavy engineering projects in a workshop environment. Overtime is available, and the company is keen to recruit someone looking for a long-term opportunity.

Role Overview

• Fabricate steel components and assemblies from engineering drawings.
• Measure, mark out and prepare materials for fabrication.
• Use a range of fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Carry out tack welding where required to complete assemblies.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Follow all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
• Assist with other workshop duties when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fabricator or in a similar fabrication role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working within heavy engineering would be advantageous.
• Competent using fabrication equipment and workshop tools.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible to work overtime when required.

Salary & Benefits

• Up to £17.00 per hour (potentially more for an exceptional candidate).
• 39-hour working week
