Our client is experiencing continued growth and an increasing order book and is looking to expand their team with experienced Fabricators, Welders and Fabricator/Welders.

Fabricator Welder Roles and Responsibilities:

• Fabricating and welding structural steel components to detailed engineering drawings
• Carrying out MIG and MMA welding to a high standard
• Completing full penetration butt welds and multi-run fillet welds
• Working with a variety of steel grades and thicknesses
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
• Setting up and using welding, burning and fabrication equipment
• Using oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting equipment
• Carrying out jig work and ensuring components are accurately fabricated
• Working in line with relevant welding codes, standards and quality requirements
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

Fabricator Welder Ideal Candidate:  

• Previous experience working as a Fabricator, Welder or Fabricator/Welder
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience with MIG and MMA welding
• Able to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience carrying out full penetration butt welds and multi-run fillets
• Good understanding of welding codes and standards
• Experience using oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting equipment
• Experience with jig work and structural steel fabrication
• A formal apprenticeship or qualification in Fabrication/Welding is desirable

Fabricator Welder Working Hours and Benefits:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:15am – 16:15pm
• Friday: 7:15am – 12:15pm
• 39 hours per week
• Regular overtime available before and after shifts, as well as weekends
• Overtime paid at enhanced rates of time and a half and double time
