Fabricator Welder

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder to join a well-established engineering company in Derby. The Role

As a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder, you'll play a key role in manufacturing components for automated parts handling systems. You'll be involved in the fabrication and welding of bespoke sheet metal products, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• TIG and MIG welding of sheet metal components.
• Fabrication using press brakes, guillotines, rollers and other workshop equipment.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Producing high-quality fabricated assemblies to specification.
• Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder.
• Strong TIG and MIG welding skills.
• Experience operating press brakes, guillotines, rollers and similar fabrication machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• A proactive approach with the confidence to suggest improvements where appropriate.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude.

Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
• Some flexibility with working hours is available.

What's On Offer

• £19.00 per hour PAYE.
• Ltd Company option available at an enhanced rate.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x.
