The role

We are looking for a full-time experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our expanding team.Working primarily from our workshop in Driffield, with local and nationwide site work as required, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and welding of metal components from engineering drawings and specifications.

This is a varied role manufacturing bespoke equipment including silos, conveyors, cyclones, elevators and transitions. You will work with a range of materials and use welding, cutting, grinding and workshop machinery to produce high-quality fabricated components.

Essential candidate requirements:

• Level 3 City & Guilds / NVQ Welding Certificate

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Experience in MIG, TIG and/or MMA (stick) welding

• Experience fabricating and assembling metal components from engineering drawings

• Experience working in a metal fabrication or engineering workshop

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Good understanding of workshop and site health & safety requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication and time-management skills

The role also requires training/competency in areas including Manual Handling, Overhead Crane Operations, Abrasive Wheels, Telehandler Operations, MEWP/IPAF, Slinging and Signalling and Working at Height. Appropriate training will be provided where applicable.

Desirable candidate requirements:

• Forklift Truck Licence

• Level 3 First Aid at Work

• Fire Warden training

• COSHH Awareness

• PASMA

• PUWER Awareness

• Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel and/or aluminium

• Maintenance or repair welding experience

• Previous on-site fabrication or installation experience

• Experience working around or operating lifting equipment

Work schedule

• Minimum of 40 hours per week

• If you work more than 40 hours in a week (Monday to Saturday), then overtime payments will be made at time and a half. For hours worked at night and on a Sunday, payment will be made at double time.
