Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for fabrication. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create high-quality products, ensuring precision and attention to detail throughout the fabrication process.

Responsibilities

• Complete fabrication process from cradle to grave.
• Fabrication of a variety of products, such as conveyor systems, pipework, structural steel fabrication such as staircases, walkways and gantries.
• Fabricate components and assemblies according to specifications and drawings.
• Utilise basic maths skills to measure and cut materials accurately.
• Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to assemble parts securely.
• Work with sheet metal and other materials to produce finished products.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during the fabrication process.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.

Experience

• Proven experience in fabrication or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with welding techniques, particularly stick welding, is essential.
• Experience working with sheet metal is advantageous.
• Proficient in using both power tools and hand tools effectively.
• Basic maths skills are necessary for accurate measurements and calculations.
