The Opportunity

We are working with an established and growing façade specialist who are looking to appoint an experienced Façade Designer to join their technical design team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable designer to work on a varied portfolio of façade and building envelope projects, producing detailed designs and drawings from concept through to construction.

You’ll be joining a collaborative team where technical quality, attention to detail and practical façade knowledge are highly valued.

The Role

As a Façade Designer, you will be responsible for producing accurate and buildable façade designs across a range of projects, working closely with engineers, project managers, manufacturers and clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

Producing detailed 2D and 3D façade drawings for construction.
Developing façade designs from concept through to detailed design.
Working across systems including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, windows and doors.
Preparing technical details, sections, elevations and fixing details.
Liaising with engineers, architects, contractors and suppliers.
Reviewing design information and identifying potential technical issues.
Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, specifications and project requirements.
Supporting the wider design and project teams through to completion.

About You

We’re looking for someone with a solid background in façade design, ideally gained within a façade contractor, specialist subcontractor or consultancy environment.

You should have:

Previous experience working as a Façade Designer / Façade Design Technician.
Strong knowledge of façade systems and construction methods.
Excellent AutoCAD skills; experience with Revit would be advantageous.
The ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
A practical understanding of how façade designs are manufactured and installed.
