Are you an experienced Facilities and Health & Safety professional looking to take ownership of a diverse operational role? A leading organisation is seeking a Facilities & Health & Safety Manager to oversee facilities management, health and safety compliance, and operational support services across a busy manufacturing and office environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a small team while driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance, and maintaining a safe, efficient workplace.

The Role As the Facilities & Health & Safety Manager, you'll:
  • Lead the company's Health & Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and best practice.
  • Manage all facilities operations, including building maintenance, utilities, energy contracts and planned repairs.
  • Oversee essential site services including steam generation, compressed air and chilled water systems.
  • Monitor facilities budgets, manage supplier contracts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, including RIDDOR reporting where required.
  • Present regular Health & Safety performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Manage fire safety, first aid provision and contractor compliance across the site.
  • Oversee office administration services, ensuring operational support is delivered effectively.
  • Line manage a small facilities and administration team, providing leadership, coaching and development.
You To be successful in the role of Facilities & Health & Safety Manager, you'll bring:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • At least 3 years' experience managing both Facilities Management and Health & Safety.
  • Experience managing building maintenance, contractor performance and site services.
  • Knowledge of steam generation, compressed air and chilled water systems.
  • Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation, including RIDDOR.
  • Experience managing facilities budgets and supplier contracts.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
