Hours of Work: 24 hours per week | Tuesday to Thursday | 08:00 - 17:00 or 08:30 - 17:30
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support the effective delivery of meeting room management services and act as a key point of contact for customers.

The successful candidate will maintain a thorough understanding of the building’s day-to-day operations and help ensure workplace services consistently meet the required standards. This role is well suited to an individual with a strong customer service background who takes pride in delivering a professional and welcoming experience.

The position has a significant focus on meeting room management, hospitality support, visitor hosting, and maintaining workplace environments to a high standard. The Facilities Assistant will play an important role in ensuring facilities are clean, functional, well stocked, and ready to support business activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the required meeting room standard across all meeting spaces.
  • Prepare and deliver hospitality requests, including tea and coffee service.
  • Provide visitor hosting and maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Ensure workplace areas are clean, tidy, well stocked, and ready for business use.
  • Prepare meeting rooms for use, including cleanliness checks, equipment testing, and stock replenishment.
  • Coordinate and monitor vendor services to ensure delivery is completed on time and to specification.
  • Present and reinstate meeting rooms before and after use.
  • Log reactive maintenance and service issues with the Helpdesk and proactively maintain cleanliness standards in designated areas.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience within a customer service environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional appearance and confident front-of-house presence.
  • Experience in a front-of-house or hospitality role within a corporate environment.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and workplace presentation.
  • Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
