We are currently recruiting a reliable and proactive Part-Time Facilities Assistant to oversee a 3G football pitch at a school in Coventry.

This is a temporary weekend position, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and has a practical, hands-on approach to facilities management.

You will be responsible for the general supervision of the site while the football facilities are in use, ensuring that all users can enjoy a safe and well-managed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day weekend use of the school's 3G football pitch.
  • Supervise the site and monitor the use of facilities by external hirers and visitors.
  • Ensure users comply with site rules, health and safety procedures and facility guidelines.
  • Carry out general site checks to ensure the facilities remain clean, safe and presentable.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damage, accidents or incidents to the relevant management team.
  • Manage access to the facilities and assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure all users have vacated the premises at the end of their bookings.
  • Secure the site at the end of each shift, including locking doors and gates and setting the alarm where required.
  • Provide a friendly, professional and helpful point of contact for facility users.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy, with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Confident working independently and using initiative.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to general site supervision.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Flexible and approachable, with the ability to deal calmly with any issues that may arise.
  • Previous experience in facilities, caretaking, site supervision or a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working Hours

  • Saturday: 9:00am – 3:00pm (6 hours)
  • Sunday: 9:30am – 2:30pm (5 hours)
  • Total: 11 hours per week
