Facilities Contracts & Compliance Officer
Rise Technical Recruitment
Facilities Contracts & Compliance Officer
Enfield, London
£35,762 + Hybrid Working + Excellent Pension + Free Onsite Parking + Career Progression + Excellent Benefits
Are you currently working within Facilities or Estates in a Facilities Coordinator, Facilities Administrator or Facilities Helpdesk role and looking for the next step in your career?
Do you want to progress into a role where you'll develop your knowledge of contracts, statutory compliance and contractor management, work closely with senior estates leadership and build a long-term career within Facilities Management?
This organisation manages a large and diverse estate across London and has an established in-house Facilities and Estates function responsible for maintaining safe, compliant and well-managed sites. You'll be based from a modern Enfield site with free onsite parking, some flexibility to work from home and the stability of joining a large, established organisation.
In this role, you'll help coordinate contracts, contractors and statutory compliance across the estate. You'll organise contractor activity and meetings, maintain records and ensure that completed works have the correct paperwork and evidence required to demonstrate compliance. You'll also work with CAFM systems and help coordinate areas including Fire Safety, Water Hygiene, Asbestos, Gas Safety, Electrical Safety and Lifting Equipment. As Andy explained, "just because the job's done doesn't mean it's compliant" - a major part of this position is making sure the documentation and compliance evidence are properly coordinated and maintained.
The ideal candidate will already have experience within a Facilities or Estates environment, but you don't necessarily need to already be a Contracts & Compliance Officer. You could currently work on a Facilities Helpdesk or as a Facilities Administrator/Coordinator, with experience using CAFM systems, coordinating contractors, handling permits to work, maintaining records or supporting facilities operations. Strong administration and coordination skills are key, alongside the desire to take on more responsibility and develop your compliance knowledge. The hiring manager specifically confirmed that this type of facilities background can be considered.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has already established themselves within Facilities but is ready to take the next step in their career. Rather than remaining in a purely helpdesk or administrative position, you'll gain exposure to statutory compliance, contracts, contractors and asset management while working closely with senior estates leadership, giving you the experience to progress your longer-term career within Facilities Management.
The Role:
*Coordinate contracts, contractors and facilities compliance
*Support statutory compliance across Fire Safety, Water Hygiene, Asbestos, Gas, Electrical and Lifting Equipment
*Organise contractor activity, meetings and associated documentation
*Ensure completed works have the correct compliance paperwork and evidence
*Support audits, inspections and regulatory reviews
*Maintain and update CAFM systems
*Maintain asset records, O&M manuals, warranties and technical documentation
*Work closely with senior Estates & Facilities leadership
*Enfield based with some home-working flexibility
*Free onsite parking
The Person:
*Must have experience working within Facilities or Estates
*Could be a Facilities Coordinator, Facilities Administrator, Facilities Helpdesk Coordinator or similar
*Experience using a Facilities CAFM system
*Experience dealing with or coordinating contractors
*Strong administration and coordination skills
*Looking to progress from Facilities support/coordination into a broader compliance role
