As part of the Facilities team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of site-wide mechanical services and utilities while supporting continuous improvement projects that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining and supporting site utilities and facilities equipment including boilers, AHUs, chillers, pumps, control valves, substations and UPS systems.
- Providing technical support across manufacturing and engineering operations.
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors, ensuring compliance with site procedures and health & safety standards.
- Managing small to medium-sized facilities and improvement projects, including budgets and timelines.
- Supporting preventative maintenance programmes to maximise equipment reliability and compliance.
- Assisting with site-wide engineering and facilities initiatives.
- Raising purchase orders and approving invoices through SAP.
- Participating in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support when required.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical Engineering qualification or completed engineering apprenticeship with relevant industry experience.
- Experience maintaining facilities and utilities within a manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, medical device, FMCG or similar environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supervising contractors and managing permit-to-work activities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, cleanroom environments, humidity and pressure control systems would be highly advantageous.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
