Facilities Manager - Residential Development

Barking Riverside, IG11 | Salary up to £48,000 plus travel expenses and package

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a modern residential development at Barking Riverside. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident residential FM professional who enjoys working in a resident-facing environment and can deliver high standards across soft services, compliance, contractor management and customer experience.

As Facilities Manager, you will oversee the smooth running of the development, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard. You will act as a key point of contact for residents, contractors and stakeholders, while maintaining strong control of site compliance, budgets, service levels and operational standards.

• Manage the daily operation of the residential development, ensuring a safe, well-presented and well-maintained environment.
• Oversee hard and soft service contractors, monitoring performance against agreed service standards.
• Maintain statutory compliance across health and safety, fire safety, risk assessments, permits and planned maintenance activity.
• Build positive relationships with residents, managing queries professionally and supporting a high-quality customer experience.
• Carry out regular site inspections, identifying and resolving maintenance, cleaning, security and operational issues.
• Support budget control, purchase orders, contractor costs and service charge-related processes where required.
• Work closely with managing agents, client representatives and internal teams to ensure the development is run efficiently.

• Previous facilities management experience within a residential, mixed-use or high-quality estate environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, compliance and contractor management.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is essential.
• IWFM membership is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with residents, contractors and stakeholders.
• Commercially aware, organised and able to manage multiple priorities across a busy site.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence.
