Facilities Maintenance Technician

Devon & Cornwall | £30,000-£37,000 per annum | Monday-Friday | 8am-5pm | Permanent | Field-Based

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a field-based Facilities Management team supporting one of the UK's largest retail clients across a nationwide estate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled maintenance professional with experience across building fabric trades to take on a varied field-based role covering Devon and Cornwall.

You'll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose repair requirements and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while delivering excellent customer service across client sites.

• £30,000-£37,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Permanent, full-time position.
• Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across building fabric disciplines.
• Diagnose and assess repair requirements at customer sites.
• Complete maintenance and repair works to agreed standards and SLAs.
• Support the preparation of quotations and estimates for repair works.
• Complete job documentation, including photographs, materials used and detailed service reports.
• Manage tools, equipment and van stock effectively.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Follow customer site procedures and facilities management processes.
• Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and site contacts.
• Deliver a professional, reliable and customer-focused service at all times.

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance or a multi-skilled maintenance role.
• Experience across multiple building fabric trades.
• Strong practical problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to assess repair requirements and estimate works accurately.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple sites.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional approach.
• Full UK driving licence is essential due to the field-based nature of the role.
