As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring buildings and facilities are maintained in line with all relevant health and safety legislation, statutory requirements and contractual obligations. The role will involve managing service providers, responding effectively to operational issues and workplace emergencies, and ensuring service levels are consistently achieved. You will use performance management tools to monitor delivery, identify areas for improvement and implement action plans that drive continuous service enhancement. Working closely with internal teams, clients and contractors, you will support project delivery, contract management activities and tender processes, ensuring value for money and high-quality outcomes are achieved.

You will be responsible for producing reports, analysing performance data, investigating service failures and implementing corrective actions to improve service delivery. Strong stakeholder management skills will be essential, as you will regularly communicate with clients, contractors and colleagues at all levels, often in challenging circumstances.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Management professional with a minimum of five years' supervisory or management experience within a Hard Facilities Management environment. You will have experience delivering multi-service FM contracts and ideally possess experience working within PFI schemes and contracted support service environments.

You will have a strong understanding of Facilities Management, building engineering services and contract management principles, together with experience overseeing service delivery against contractual KPIs and performance standards. Experience of developing, negotiating, tendering and managing complex, high-value contracts will be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will be able to analyse contractual documentation, implement effective monitoring processes and identify opportunities to improve operational performance. You will have experience producing detailed reports and action plans, managing change effectively and driving continuous improvement across services.

You will also be able to assess individual competency, identify training requirements and support the development of teams and contractors.
