Job Title: Facilities Manager

Trust: Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust

Location: Kingsley Green, Harper Lane, Shenley, Radlett, Hertfordshire, WD7 9HQ

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Pay Rate: £17.13

Are you a proactive Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment in line with National Health Service standards.

Job Duties

• Manage daily facilities operations (cleaning, waste, maintenance, security)
• Ensure buildings are safe, compliant, and well maintained
• Coordinate contractors and service providers
• Monitor service quality and resolve issues quickly
• Support health & safety, fire safety, and infection control compliance
• Handle site logistics including portering and transport
• Investigate incidents and implement improvements
• Maintain records, reports, and basic budget control

What you’ll need:

• Degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management or estates management
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) and HBN (Health Building Notes) guidance
• Ability to manage multiple services and priorities
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Understanding of health & safety and compliance
