Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support a high-profile government contract.

Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to take full ownership of service delivery across a regional portfolio of sites within a complex and highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of both hard and soft facilities management services while maintaining high standards of compliance, performance, and value for money.

Acting as the key link between the client and operational teams, you will build strong working relationships, proactively manage service delivery, and ensure contractual obligations are consistently achieved. This role requires a professional and customer-focused individual who can lead teams, manage contractors, and drive service excellence across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of hard and soft facilities management services across multiple sites.
  • Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for service delivery matters.
  • Proactively identify and resolve service issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and SFG20 maintenance standards.
  • Lead and support site-based teams, including supervisors, engineers, and cleaning staff where applicable.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance, quality, and contractual standards are achieved.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, SLAs, and other performance metrics through the CAFM system (Maximo).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain service quality and operational efficiency.

Person Specification

  • Strong understanding of both hard and soft facilities management services.
  • Experience managing client expectations within a complex contract environment.
  • Previous people management and line management experience.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
  • Good understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
  • Working towards a Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Facilities Management.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
