Factory Laborer 

KES Solutions are recruiting for a Factory Laborer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Birtley.

This is a hands-on role working both indoors and outdoors within a busy manufacturing environment. Due to the nature of the position, you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and carrying out physical duties throughout the shift.

Duties will include:

• Cleaning production containers using industrial cleaning products
• Using industrial solvents safely and correctly
• Manual handling of materials and equipment
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Moving materials around the site using a forklift truck (where authorised)
• Assisting other departments as required
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
• Following all health and safety procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory or labouring environment is preferred
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable with a good work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid Forklift Truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential
