The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Factory Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on operational leader to take ownership of a busy manufacturing site, driving performance, developing teams, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Operating within a fast-paced food production environment, you will play a key role in delivering operational excellence, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

The Role

As Factory Manager, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining a strong focus on quality, cost control, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, motivating, and developing the operational management team.
• Driving site performance across productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Managing production planning, capacity utilisation, and resource allocation.
• Working closely with engineering teams to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Taking ownership of operational budgets and delivering against agreed KPIs.
• Championing health & safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the site.
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders to support business objectives and future growth plans.

About You

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership experience within a food manufacturing or similarly fast-paced production environment.

You will have:

• Proven experience managing manufacturing operations and leading operational teams.
• Strong people management and team development skills.
• A track record of driving operational improvements and delivering measurable results.
• Commercial awareness, with an understanding of manufacturing costs, efficiencies, and profitability.
• Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive, hands-on, and results-driven approach.
• Experience within co-packing, contract manufacturing, or FMCG production environments would be advantageous.
