I'm currently working in partnership with a highly successful Leeds based manufacturer who supply a large range of products to a stable and growing customer base.
This leading UK business has experienced impressive growth in recent years and are looking for a Production Operations Manager / Factory Manager to maximise productivity, minimise cost and maintain quality through effective management of their manufacturing teams.
Description
The Factory Operations Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of production, logistics, maintenance and HSEQ across the site, and will have a huge impact on the strategic direction of the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong, visible leadership across all site functions
- Creating a culture of safety, accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Ensuring clear communication of goals, KPIs, and business priorities across the site
- Modelling a 'safety first' culture, ensuring operational procedures, equipment and processes allow for a safe working environment for all employees
- Driving continuous improvement activities and working alongside the MD to review strategic developments for the business's long-term success
- Working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure effective quality assurance systems are embedded, maintained, and continuously improved
- Leading the planning and execution of daily production, logistics & maintenance activities to achieve output targets, service levels, and cost objectives
Profile
Successful candidates will have a strong manufacturing background in a fast-paced product base, and a proven ability in leading and developing teams. You will also possess:
- A demonstrable background in manufacturing and leadership
- Strong H&S mindset and proven ability to balance HSEQ with output
- Good communication skills at all levels of the business
- A continuous improvement mindset - lean/TPM background preferred
- A determination to succeed and improve
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage change in an organisation
Job Offer
