Job Title: Factory Operative

Location: Sparkford

Hours: 40 hours/week + Overtime

We are looking for an energetic, hardworking Factory Operative to join a fast-paced mechanical production team in Sparkford. Focusing primarily on post-weld metal finishing, you will use mild chemical solutions and specialised TIG mop equipment to remove heat stains from fabricated metal parts. This role offers comprehensive training, steady daytime hours, and a supportive workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Factory Operative

• Safely operate equipment and mild chemical solutions to remove weld heat discolouration and restore corrosion resistance to metal parts.
• Support the wider production team using hand and air tools to assemble, test, and inspect mechanical products to required specifications.
• Strictly follow chemical safety guidelines, wear full required PPE, and maintain a clean, organised finishing area.
• Inspect completed parts for finish quality, meet daily output targets, and assist in identifying continuous process improvements.
