Factory Operative

The Best Connection are currently working with our client based in Washington. They now require a Factory Operative to join their busy team.

Duties will include:

· Manufacturing a range of furniture for use in high security, custodial establishments therefore a Basic DBS is required to be undertaken prior to starting.

The role:

· Measure, cut, shape and assemble wood and other materials

· Using machines and hand tools.

· Installation work in local sites. As they carry out installation at various locations in the UK there may be a requirement to work away from home as well as in the North East

· May involve heavy lifting

· Travel to site is paid

· Hotel accommodation provided

· £25 sustenance allowance as well as any other out of pocket expenses reimbursed

Experience:

· CSCS card

· Driving licence is essential

· Joinery (NVQ or 1 years experience)

· CSCS card

Hours of work:

· Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm

· Friday 6.30am - 3.00pm

Rate of Pay:

· Basic £14.00 - £15.75 per hour depending upon experience.

The roles have immediate start dates and will be ongoing temporary positions with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidates.
