JRS Associates have partnered up with an established precision engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced Factory Supervisor.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering supervisor to join a growing manufacturing business operating across CNC machining, sheet metal and fabrication.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the factory, managing shop-floor teams, monitoring production output and helping ensure customer delivery requirements are achieved.

The Successful Factory Supervisor – Package:

  • £42,000 – £52,000 per annum
  • Salary negotiable depending on experience
  • Permanent position

The Successful Factory Supervisor – Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day factory operations
  • Manage and support production teams
  • Allocate labour against production requirements
  • Monitor output against production schedules
  • Ensure customer delivery dates remain achievable
  • Identify and resolve shop-floor bottlenecks
  • Liaise closely with Production Control and Planning
  • Monitor quality, productivity and operational performance
  • Support continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain health, safety and housekeeping standards
  • Report operational issues to senior management
  • Support both CNC machining and sheet metal / fabrication departments where applicable

The Successful Factory Supervisor – Requirements:

  • Previous supervisory experience within engineering or manufacturing
  • Background within CNC machining, sheet metal, fabrication or precision engineering
  • Aerospace or AS9100 experience highly advantageous
  • Strong people management skills
  • Able to allocate workload and manage priorities
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
  • Confident dealing with production issues
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Hands-on management style
  • Experience supervising both machining and fabrication environments would be particularly advantageous
