The Company:

ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, a unique and established destination in North East Leicestershire, with a busy Farm Shop offering a wide range of fresh and ambient food products.

They are looking for an experienced Farm Shop Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the shop, while also identifying opportunities to grow sales and promote their own-produced products through external shows, events and local opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities of the Farm Shop Supervisor:

• Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Farm Shop across fresh food and ambient product areas, ensuring high standards of service, presentation and efficiency
• Lead, support and organise the team, including rotas, staffing levels, working hours and day-to-day performance
• Maintain excellent food safety, health & safety and environmental health standards across the shop
• Oversee stock ordering, availability, rotation, waste and presentation, ensuring products are managed effectively
• Monitor sales and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance, customer experience and operational efficiency
• Develop opportunities to promote and sell own-produced products externally through local shows, events and other relevant channels

About You as the Farm Shop Supervisor:

• Previous experience within farm shop, food retail, fresh food, hospitality or a similar customer-facing environment
• A confident and hands-on people leader who can set standards, provide direction and command respect
• Strong understanding of food safety, health & safety and environmental health requirements
• Commercially aware, with experience of stock, waste, sales and operational control
• Highly organised, with experience of managing rotas, staffing and day-to-day retail operations
• A proactive and entrepreneurial approach, with the confidence to identify opportunities, build relationships and develop new sales channels
