Shift Pattern:  7am – 10pm
Hours: 45 hours per week
Pay Rate: £13.80

About the Person You’ll Be Supporting & Your Role
You will be supporting a gentleman in his 50s who has diagnoses of Paranoid Psychosis, Recurrent Depressive Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Type 2 Diabetes.
He enjoys spending time in the community, and this is an important part of his daily life. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can build a positive professional relationship, provide person-centered support, and promote independence while ensuring his individual needs are met.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality support and leading by example within the team. You will help ensure the person we support receives consistent, safe, and effective support that enables him to live as independently as possible and achieve the outcomes that are important to him.
A full UK driving license is essential, as you will be required to drive the person we support using his own vehicle. You must be confident driving long distances and on motorways.
What We’re Looking For
 
We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and proactive Senior Support Worker who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support. You will have strong leadership skills, be able to work confidently with individuals who have complex needs, and be committed to promoting independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion. You will support and guide colleagues within the service while ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Lead shifts and provide guidance and support to the wider team. 
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred support in line with support plans and risk assessments. 
  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and wellbeing at all times. 
  • Support the person to access and engage with their local community. 
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure records, support plans, and service standards are maintained. 
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and daily documentation. 
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, family members, and other involved professionals to ensure consistent and effective support. 
  • Support the implementation and review of care and support plans. 
  • Act as a positive role model, helping to mentor and develop Support Workers. 
  • Drive the person we support using their own vehicle, including long-distance and motorway journeys where required.
