About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fencer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of fencing systems to a high standard while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Install a wide range of fencing, including timber, closeboard, panel, post and rail, security, chain-link, and metal fencing.
- Carry out fencing repairs and replacements as required.
- Read site plans and measurements to ensure accurate installation.
- Prepare sites by setting out, digging post holes, and installing posts using appropriate materials and equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small plant safely and effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area and company vehicles.
- Communicate professionally with customers, site managers, and colleagues.
- 3–5 years' proven experience in fencing installation.
- Experience installing a variety of domestic and commercial fencing systems.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
- Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred/required depending on the role).
- CSCS Card (preferred).
- Experience operating mini diggers or other small plant.
- Trailer towing licence.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience with gates, access control systems, or security fencing.
