Fettler

We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Fettler / Assembly Operative to join a growing manufacturing business. This hands-on role involves fettling, grinding, finishing and assembling fabricated components to a high standard.

• Fettle, grind, linish and finish fabricated metal components.
• Remove weld spatter, sharp edges and imperfections.
• Assemble products using hand and power tools.
• Read and work from engineering drawings and instructions.
• Carry out visual quality inspections and report defects.
• Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area.

Essential

• Previous manufacturing or engineering experience.
• Experience using grinders, sanders and other hand-held power tools.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Desirable

• Fettling, metal finishing or fabrication experience.
• Experience assembling fabricated products.
• Knowledge of stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
• Overhead Crane experience.

Hours:

40 hours per week

Rotating shift pattern - 6-2 2-10 rotating fortnightly

£173 monthly shift allowance
