We're looking for a proactive, technically skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our MEICA delivery team, supporting projects across clean water and wastewater treatment sites.
You'll play an important hands-on role ensuring instrumentation is installed, configured and maintained to the highest standards of accuracy, compliance and reliability.

The Opportunity
Working as part of our MEICA delivery team, you'll install, commission, calibrate and maintain instrumentation across clean water and wastewater assets.
You'll work across equipment including flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, turbidity and chlorine analysers and telemetry systems, diagnosing faults and ensuring equipment performs accurately and reliably.
You'll also work closely with EICA Engineers, Project Managers and commissioning teams, giving you broad exposure across project delivery, control system integration and site commissioning.

What You’ll Be Doing
Install, Commission and Maintain
• Install, commission, calibrate and maintain instrumentation across clean and wastewater assets.
• Work with flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, turbidity and chlorine analysers and associated equipment.
• Complete loop checks, functional testing, inspections and verification activities.
Diagnose and Integrate
• Identify and resolve faults across instrumentation, control systems and monitoring equipment.
• Support PLC and SCADA interface checks and control-system integration.
• Collaborate with EICA Engineers, Project Managers and commissioning teams throughout project delivery and site integration.
Deliver Safely and Precisely
• Complete all work in line with RAMS, design specifications, WIMES and wider water-industry requirements.
• Maintain accurate calibration records, inspection logs and site reports.
• Work closely with clients, operators and internal teams to achieve high-quality handovers and smooth operational transitions.
• Champion CHG’s safety culture while ensuring tools, materials and equipment are properly used, maintained and ready for scheduled works.
About You
You'll already have proven instrumentation experience within water, wastewater or another process industry, combining strong technical knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach.
You'll bring:
• Proven experience as an Instrumentation Technician within water, wastewater or process environments.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electrical, Controls or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes, WIMES-compliant instrumentation and telemetry systems.
• Experience with flow meters, level sensors, pressure transmitters, turbidity and chlorine analysers or similar instrumentation.
• Good knowledge of calibration techniques, fault-finding and loop testing.
• Excellent practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work independently or within multi-skilled teams.
• Full UK driving licence.
Advantageous:
• ECS / CSCS.
• Confined Space certification.
• EUSR.
• COMPEX.
