Field Manager – Major Works (Lifts)
We are seeking an experienced Field Manager to join our Major Works team, overseeing the delivery of a prestigious, large-scale lift installation project in London.
This flagship development comprises 14 high-specification, high-speed lifts serving 23 floors, all operating on a Destination Control System. The project includes a mix of passenger, firefighting, evacuation, and goods lifts, featuring bespoke lift car and architrave finishes. The first phase of the programme covers the installation of 11 lifts over a 12-month period.
The Role
As Field Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day site operations and ensuring the successful delivery of the project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the overall running of the project and resolving on-site issues
- Coordinating and managing subcontractors
- Ensuring health and safety compliance across the site
- Scheduling the delivery of lift materials
- Placing orders with local suppliers
- Managing and ordering missing materials
- Carrying out site surveys
- Conducting quality assurance inspections on installations
- Producing fortnightly progress reports
- Leading fortnightly site safety walks, PPE audits, and toolbox talks
- Attending regular meetings with the client, principal contractor, and lift consultant
- Participating in daily project coordination meetings
About You
We're looking for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a busy project environment.
Essential requirements:
- Based in the UK and able to commute to London daily
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills when working with engineers, clients, consultants, and contractors
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Lift Installation
- Strong experience in new lift installations and/or modernisation projects
- Up-to-date knowledge of current lift regulations
Desirable qualifications:
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- First Aid certification

Package
