Salary – Competitive base salary of £30,000-£35,000 DOE, an uncapped commission structure, a company Car allowance with Fuel Card or Mileage allowance, a laptop, Mobile Phone and I-pad.is provided.
Overview
My privately owned client was formed in 2009 and provide daily and specialist cleaning services to commercial and public sector workplaces with local offices in Swansea, Hereford and Bristol, they have client sites.throughout Wales, the South West of England and areas to the west of Birmingham such as Hereford, Worcester etc. Their clients include local authorities, education establishments, manufacturing facilities, doctor’s surgeries, schools and several Fire and ambulance services. They currently employ over 800 operatives on client sites and have a long serving and knowledgeable senior management team. Due to continued company growth, I am working in partnership with them to find a Field Sales Representative to sell their services in the areas to the west of Birmingham such as Worcestershire and Shropshire. The longer-term aim is to sell into the Birmingham area once the operational structure is in place to do so. You will be given comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure you succeed.
The Role:
As Field Sales Representative, you’ll be introducing the company’s services to potential clients, explain the value of their services and gather key information. You’ll have full autonomy and manage your own diary on a day-to-day basis. The right candidate will be expected to be able to present to key decision makers and negotiate contracts. This role is a full sales cycle from start to close. You’ll find the business, follow up with calls and emails to potential clients and attend meetings to present our services.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and target new business opportunities
- Generate and book qualified client appointments across key geographic areas
- Qualify and convert inbound leads
- Conduct site visits, surveys and deliver tailored cleaning service proposals
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead to close, including negotiation and objection handling
- Build long-term client relationships and ensure smooth contract mobilisation with operations teams
- Stay informed on market trends, competitors and sector opportunities
- Hands on approach actively assisting the Operations team with new business starts
Skills and Experience
- Sales experience in soft services is desired, but not essential—we provide full training.
- You will need excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with potential customers.
- You're a self-starter, motivated, proactive and great at managing your time.
- Familiarity with your territory and are happy to travel to meetings.
- This is a new business sales role so you have to be self-motivated. The territory area is completely new to the company so you don’t have to worry about cross over or expired clients.
- A full UK driving license is a must
