Field Service Cleaning Technician

Our client, who are market leaders in their field are looking for a Field Service Cleaning Technician.
You will be responsible for ensuring Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene. The role focuses on cleaning ATM units, surrounding areas, and touchpoints to ensure a safe, professional, and customer-ready environment at all times.
You will be working independently, ‘in the field’, using a company van (which can also be used for personal use) and travelling to required areas on a daily basis.
Main Responsibilities include the following:
- Carrying out scheduled cleaning of ATM units across assigned locations
- Clean all external ATM surfaces including screens, keypads, fascia, and cash dispensing areas
- Ensure hygiene of high-touch points to reduce contamination risk
- Clean surrounding areas including floors, signage, and enclosures where required
- Use approved cleaning materials and methods to avoid damage to sensitive equipment
- Follow cleaning schedules, route plans, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
- Record completed cleans accurately using handheld devices
- Identify and report any visible damage, faults, vandalism, or security concerns
- Ensure sites are left clean, safe, and presentable for customer use
- Maintain company vehicle, stock, and cleaning materials in an organised manner
- Comply with all health & safety, lone working, and site-specific requirements
- Handle customers in a professional manner during difficult high-pressure situations.
- Communicate with all Cennox personnel involved with the accounts ensuring that our associates understand the level of service performance to which we have committed.
- Attend training classes to ensure fulfilment of Service Levels.
- Work well independently and in a team situation.
- Make recommendations for improving our service, reliability & performance
Skills and Experience
- Experience in cleaning, field-based roles, or facilities services (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation standards
- Ability to work independently while following structured routes and schedules
- Comfortable working outdoors and travelling between multiple locations
- Basic IT skills for reporting via mobile devices
- Good awareness of safety and public-facing environments
- A flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn new skills

Hours of work are 9 hour shifts with an hour for lunch between 8:30am and 5:30pm
Full UK Valid Driving License is essential
