Field Service Electrician

Our client is looking for a hard-working and motivated Electrician to join their growing team in the Greater Manchester area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an electrical background to develop their skills and train to become a Smoke Ventilation Engineer.

Full training will be provided, so no prior experience in smoke ventilation is required - just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

To be considered for this role, you must have an electrical background (NVQ Level 3 minimum) along with some industrial/commercial experience. We're looking for someone reliable, hands-on, and eager to take on a long-term career path.

Experience in the following areas would be a significant advantage:

- Single and three-phase electrical systems

- Electrical control panel fault finding (essential)

- Contactors, relays, inverters, and timer relays

- Pneumatics and compressors

- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous)

What You’ll Be Doing (Once Trained):

- Install, maintain, and repair Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) systems

- Diagnose and resolve faults in AOV systems

- Read and interpret electrical control panels

- Provide on-site support and guidance to customers

- Complete accurate documentation and reports

- Carry out both electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repairs

- Participate in the on-call rota

- Occasionally stay overnight for jobs (expenses covered)
