Field Service Engineer

We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to support customers across Bedford for an energy systems business with sites all over the world.

This is a role suited to someone with mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience, as you will be maintaining, repairing and monitoring customer energy systems.

What’s on offer?

  • £38,789 per year
  • Mon – Fri | 8am – 4pm
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours
  • 1.5x on Saturdays
  • 2x after 4 hours
  • 2x on Sundays and bank holidays
  • Standby fee for callout rota

What will you be doing as a Field Service Engineer?

  • Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Completing reactive repairs efficiently and effectively
  • Monitoring customer systems and equipment performance
  • Identifying ways to improve reliability and productivity
  • Reducing equipment downtime and unnecessary material usage
  • Keeping accurate service and maintenance records
  • Providing a high standard of customer service
  • Taking part in a 24-hour callout rota

What will you need?

  • ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, motor vehicle studies or a similar
