Our client, a well-established and expanding engineering business specialising in commercial refrigeration, cold rooms and industrial equipment, is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis covering the Bedfordshire area. Whether your background is in commercial refrigeration, cold rooms, HVAC systems or electrical service engineering, this role offers the opportunity to broaden your skills whilst working with a supportive and experienced team.

The successful Field Service Engineer should have:

  • Previous experience servicing, maintaining or installing commercial refrigeration, cold rooms or similar equipment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair work.
  • A professional approach with excellent customer service skills.
  • A willingness to learn new equipment and systems, with full training provided on refrigerated display cabinets and industrial doors.

In this role, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration and cold room equipment across customer sites.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and attending breakdown call-outs.
  • Completing site inspections and ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
  • Producing accurate service reports while building strong relationships with customers.

Our client is offering the successful Field Service Engineer a salary of £33,250 - £35,350 per annum, depending on experience, based on a 40-hour working week. In addition, you'll receive 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, a company van, company pension, uniform and tools provided, ongoing training and development, genuine long-term career progression, and enhanced overtime rates to further increase your earnings.
