Field Service Engineer - Scotland

Basic Salary: £40,000 | OTE: £55,000-£60,000

Location: M8 Corridor (Glasgow-Edinburgh)

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist industrial equipment at customer sites. The role is field-based, covering customers primarily across Scotland along the M8 corridor, with occasional travel into Northern England.

This is a varied and hands-on position where you'll diagnose faults, carry out planned preventative maintenance, commission new equipment and provide technical support, ensuring customers receive the highest level of service.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Install and commission industrial equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Perform routine inspections to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.
• Complete service reports and associated documentation accurately.

We're keen to speak with engineers who have:

• A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer working with industrial machinery or automated equipment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience within the food, packaging or pharmaceutical industries would be highly advantageous.
• A willingness to travel across Scotland, with occasional travel into Northern England.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

• £40,000 basic salary
• OTE circa £60,000, driven by generous door-to-door paid overtime
