Due to continued growth, they are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join their expanding regional team.
Role Purpose
As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as the primary face of the business, responsible for executing planned and reactive service visits directly on customer sites within your designated territory. You will carry out critical equipment installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance work to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Maintenance: Complete high-quality planned and reactive servicing on customer sites using standard company procedures and checklists.
- Equipment Installation: Install a variety of specialised safety and patient-handling products efficiently across diverse client facilities.
Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule your service visits using internal planning tools to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. - Digital Reporting: Complete and submit accurate digital service reports daily via a company tablet, ensuring precise notes and imagery are provided for customer records.
- Commercial Awareness: Identify and document potential sales, upgrades, or replacement opportunities during service visits to pass on to the internal commercial team.
- Collaboration: Liaise regularly with scheduling, internal sales, and customer experience teams, and participate in regular team meetings (remotely and occasionally at the regional head office).
- Inventory Control: Manage local vehicle stock levels and submit monthly stock reports.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in a similar field-based maintenance, engineering, mechanical, or technical product servicing role.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a track record of delivering a professional, first-class client experience.
- High standard of written and verbal English with strong attention to detail for accurate report writing.
- Proficient in using digital tools, specifically tablets and standard communication applications.
- A strong commitment to health and safety policies and strict on-site regulations.
- A proactive problem-solver who can work autonomously and adapt to changing client schedules.
- A valid UK driving licence (essential for travel across the target postcodes).
Desirable:
- Prior experience maintaining medical devices, healthcare equipment, or life-safety hardware.
- Knowledge of, or experience within, the Health & Safety or Fire Safety sectors.
- Experience using digital auditing or asset management software.
