Field Service Technician - Industrial Battery Chargers

Our client is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join their growing team, playing a key role in the maintenance, servicing, technical support, and installation of industrial battery charging systems. This exciting opportunity involves working on critical power infrastructure including industrial battery chargers, standby batteries, and associated power equipment across a variety of customer sites throughout the East Anglia region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer equipment operates reliably and efficiently whilst providing exceptional service and technical support in the field.
Key Responsibilities for the Field Service Technician Job, working in the East Anglia region:
- Organising and completing preventative maintenance visits on industrial battery chargers in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
* Carrying out battery replacements and associated installation work at customer sites.
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic faults on battery chargers and related equipment.
* Providing technical support to customers and internal colleagues both on-site and remotely.
* Surveying customer sites for asset management and equipment condition reporting purposes.
* Completing service reports and maintenance documentation accurately and within agreed timescales.
Qualifications and Experience Required for this Field Service Technician Job:
- Experience servicing and maintaining industrial battery chargers and backup power equipment.
* Understanding of SLA, NiCd, and Plante battery technologies.
* Electrical and electronic fault-finding experience.
* Customer accreditations such as UKPN, National Grid, London Underground or similar are advantageous.
* Previous field service experience within industrial, power generation, utilities, or critical infrastructure environments would be highly beneficial.
