Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading, international supplier of various racking and automated storage solutions looking to bring on a Field Service Technician to work with their client base across the North West and further afield when required. Responsibilities
- Acting as the first line of technical software support for clients across the North West and further afield when required
- Carrying out preventative/reactive mechanical, electrical & controls maintenance for automated equipment to include conveyors, shuttle systems, cranes and robotics
- Overseeing the upgrading of the clients’ equipment
- Working closely with the other technicians in the region to ensure that routing servicing is carried out efficiently
- Ensuring that all industry standard health and safety is adhered to on-site
- Completing all related administrative tasks to include quoting and technical documentation
Requirements
Our client is ideally looking to bring on an automation/robotics engineer who has a strong background in maintenance and understanding of programming. You will ideally have experience of working on conveyors, shuttle systems, stacker cranes or similar automated/robotic equipment. It would be highly preferrable that you understand Siemans PLC programming or similar due to the requirements of the role. The company would also consider applicants that don’t have programming experience, but the salary would be reflective of this. There will be a requirement for you to work on call once every three weeks and do overtime when required. The ideal candidate will be based around Liverpool/Manchester, but applicants further afield will be considered.
