Our client, a growing and customer-focused organisation, is seeking a Field Service Vending Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, being out on the road, and solving problems for customers. Previous vending or engineering experience is beneficial, but attitude is the most important thing. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hands-on, approachable, and willing to learn, with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.

Job type: Full time, permanent 
Location: Oxfordshire (field based) 
Salary: £40k - £45k p/a 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Attend customer sites to install, service, maintain, and repair vending machines, coffee machines, and other associated appliances. 
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding to identify faults and determine the appropriate repair. 
  • Diagnose issues with vending and coffee machines, including electrical, mechanical, electronic, and component-related faults. 
  • Repair, replace, and test components where required. 
  • Carry out installation, commissioning, testing, and servicing of equipment at customer sites. 
  • Respond to breakdowns and service calls, working efficiently to minimise equipment downtime. 
  • Use technical knowledge and practical engineering skills to investigate and resolve faults. 
  • Complete accurate service reports, job sheets, and maintenance records. 
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers while providing professional on-site support. 
 
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements: 
  • A practical, hands-on engineering background with experience of fault-finding, maintenance, servicing, or repairs. 
  • Experience working with vending machines, coffee machines, catering equipment, electrical appliances, or similar machinery is highly desirable. 
  • Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. 
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities. 
  • Experience using hand tools and basic test equipment. 
  • Ability to understand technical information, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. 
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. 
  • Good customer service and communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with customers. 
  • Full UK driving licence required.
