Field Support Engineer

My client is a defence technology organisation, with an advanced AI-driven drone detection product based on RADAR, RF, optical and sensor systems. Their customers span several markets, including aviation, utilities, events and leisure - so a Field Support Engineer position brings a lot of variety. 

This Field Support Engineer will install, configure, troubleshoot, test, and maintain these complex integrated systems at customer site. The core competencies required are:

• Electrical and mechanical diagnostic abilities
• Knowledge of networking, IP configuration and system integration
• An understanding of RADAR, RF or sensor systems
• A strong customer-facing disposition
• An interest in drone operations
• A willingness to travel both nationally and internationally
• Eligability for SC Clearance

This Field Support Engineer could emanate from a military or defence background, with experience in aviation or marine technology. They could also have a strong civilian background in a telecoms, RADAR, or RF focused business - installing and maintaining integrated systems.
